Candy Striper Red

Hello Everyone! I hope that you are all well. I will not bore with an excuse as to way I took another break from blogging. Instead I will let you know that I have some excited blog post coming up on the site! I will give you a quick pro tip, LIFE YOUR LIFE! Live it the way that you want to and be confident in your decisions that you make. Only you know yourself, therefore only you can control you're on happiness! Anyways, I digress.

I am super excited for you guys to see this look! Funny story, I posted this look on my Instagram, sort of like a teaser, and I thought I typed my caption as " I feel like a candy striper" but no in classic Ashlee fashion I actually wrote "I feel like a candy stripper" LMFAO! I obviously had more to my caption but, this was just the opening line and can I tell you I had NO Idea and this had been up for days! DAYS! No one told me! Until my blessed teacher from highschool pointed it out! I owe her a great debt! Damn you autocorrect! Now let's get into this look!

The reason that I am so excited for this look is because for the first time, in a long time, I feel as though I am on top of a major trend right now. The madden blouse, or at least that what I call it. I took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina ( I totally have overdue vlog on this trip btw!) earlier this month and I went shopping and stopped by H&M and this season especially with fall and winter approaching I have been gravitating toward H&M so much! Their pieces this year are accurate of the runway trends that I have always wanted to to try out, but could not afford. One day, just not today. I picked up a couple of things from H&M that are in this look. The blouse and this little black bag. I adore this bag so much because it's significantly smaller than the bags I am used to carrying. I think am subconsciously trying to rid myself of carrying miscellaneous things in my bag that take up space and this a such a drastic change and I am really excited about it!

This red stripped blouse is everything! I have really been into the madden classic look, but also love the modern approach that has been stream lined through the stores lately. I tried on several tops like the one I have on and they did not fit me the way I would have liked them too, but out of all the ones I tried this red one worked the best. For this look I have incorporated most of the things I purchased last season and I am grateful that every piece was easy to assimilate with my new buys. I didn't notice this until just now, but I am rocking the hell out of my primary colors! I think that the different variations of color and texture of each piece make it less noticeable, that I am basically dressing from a basic paint pallet.

This look checks off all of my basic requirements; comfortability, mobility, and breathable fabrics. Given that I am wearing jean culottes, the material itself is not breathable, but the fact that they are flared out allows for air to create some type of ventilation for my thighs. The blouse is made out of very light and thin material and I love the collar or lack there of. Its very feminine and suits my short frame well. This look is definitely on trend and I can't wait to style this blouse with other items in my wardrobe!

(and yes, I am aware that my fly is down. I would not be Ashlee If I didn't have at least one fashion malfunction LOL)
