Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope that you all doing well! I have returned from my week long stay in LA (I'm currently writing this post trying to get through my jet lag, so if things are getting read as you read this I'm sorry! Lol) and I must say that Los Angeles truly has my heart! I went on Vacation as a birthday/graduation present for my sister and we had a blast! We were non-stop traveling for seven days straight and I've documented some of my favorites looks throughout my trip and I will be sharing them every Tuesday and Thursday to continue my How-to series.

My first look is is titled after my amazing Airbnb house that we rented for the week. We stayed in the North Highland Park area, and the house was beautifully placed in the mountains and they also had a lovely garden, so I took advantage of my surroundings and started shooting immediately! The weather in LA can't touch Atlanta! Don't me wrong, its hot in LA, but its not humid hot like Atlanta. The garden of this Airbnb was so picturesque that I could have worn a sack and plastic shoes and my pictures would have still turned out amazing!

For this particular look, I was inspired by a Madewell catalog that I saw on Pinterest. (I don't have the catalog saved, so that you can see, but if you just search the basics i.e "jean culottes" "bodysuits" of this look, you'll see something similar, and the you can clearly see my inspiration) I wanted to give my own take on the classic culottes and bodysuit combo. I started off with a bodysuit from American Apparel and I instantly thought of my jean culottes from Zara. As a final element to this minimalist, yet chic look I added my Forever 21 Mules, (It was requested of me do a post on how I style loafer shoes and that will be up very soon) this looks is super simple and works well in transitions from day to night. If I wore this look into the evening the only thing that I would add would be a cream or nude cardigan, and a dream accessory that I would love to add with this look would be a basket beach bag. I think that by adding this bag I give off this effortless beach babe vibe of going to the farmers market and then later causally sun bathing my cares away!

Wearing something that I originally saw on a someone who was not my size or color and giving my all to work with what I have is an invigorating and rewarding feeling because I didn't let the person or the clothes define my shape or the look I was trying to achieve. I saw something that I liked and went after it and I'm kinda proud of me for that! If you see something that you like and want to recreate the look, go for it! Don't let the models race, the models size, or the brand stop you from living your best life and wearing clothes that make you feel like your best self!

That's all I have for you guys today, I hope that you've enjoyed reading today's blog post. As always thank you so much for reading! I will see you all this Thursday with another look from my California trip! Until Next Time!
