Hello Everyone! I hope that this Thursday is treating you well! For today's look I wanted to embrace the Summer heat by experimenting with a Spring/Summer stable Floral prints! A little history behind my purchase, I needed a dress to wear to my colleges graduation (I personally, did not graduate, I was supporting a senior friend who was graduating) I was driving one day from an orthodontist appointment and I saw this dress (very quickly because I was driving) outside a local boutique and I knew I had to have it! The boutique is literally walking distance from my school and its called Bleu Hanger. After my finals were done, I made a beeline to the boutique and the rest was history!

What drew me to the dress initially was it's vibrant yet flushed blue color. I don't have many things in my wardrobe this particular blue color, so I thought adding this fresh blue to my usually neutral colored clothing would liven me up! Besides the cool color of the dress, I thought that the rather loud contrasting red flowers complimented and completed the dress nicely.

A few weeks prior to my purchase of this dress, I bought these red-stripped flats from Madewell. It was like the stars were aligned and it was meant for me to purchase these shoes with my future dress in mind. Because as soon as I saw this dress I instantly thought of my new red shoes! In my head I thought that my shoes and the flowers on the dress were the exact same color, but later when pairing the two together I could see that they were not. But the slight color differentiation made me adore the look even more!

In a nutshell, I wore this exact look to graduation. It was huge hit and I got several compliments. So, I knew that this look would be a great addition to the blog, but I was talking to a friend of mine and she suggested that I spice up the look a bit. I took a look at my clothing arsonal, and thought about changing the destination of where I would wear this look to give a different perspective. And in my opinion what I came up totally worked. I thought that if I wore this look to an evening dinner I would partner the dress with my rarely worn, but very loved suede auburn jacket from Forever 21.

The stark contrast of this jacket mixed in with the differing reds totally works because they all originate from the color red. I kept accessories simple with gold accents. If you look closely, even my makeup matches my jacket. If I ever needed to turn the look down a notch I could revert right back to square one. And this is truly what I love about fashion, there is no right or wrong way to express yourself, and there is never too little or too much of what you can wear. The world is your oyster!

Anyway, thats all folks! ( I hope you get that reference) As always thank you so much for reading! I will be back next Tuesday with another How-to-style! Until Next Time!
