Hello Everyone! I hope that this Tuesday is treating you well! I am back with my How-to-Tuesday's! and this Tuesday I want you to accompany me in my time-machine back to the 80s! If I had to dress in a particular era for the rest of my life it would probably be the 80s. There is something about the care-free spirit, the colors, and the fearlessness when it came to experimenting with fashion trends in the 80s that is truly legendary to me. I would say that most of my staple items in my wardrobe are little mementos of the 80s.
The reason I named today's look Rain or Shine is because believe it or not it was pouring rain whilst my sister was taking these pics. While I may look fearless in these pictures I was so incredibly frustrated. No one really goes behind the scenes, so I will give you a little behind the scenes right now. To be honest, I just wanted to give up and start a new the next day, but I have another job that I have to work at outside of blogging (I don't get paid to blog, yet) So, I didn't have much time to get these pictures taken. When it started to rain I almost lost hope, but something in me told me to keep going.
I digress, and here I am today! I wanted to give you guys punk-rebel vibes with my band tee and leather jacket. I just bought these amazing jeans from Urban Outfitters that actually fit me guys! When I tell you, I embarrassed myself doing my happy dance in the Urban dressing room because I was so excited to finally find success in a store that I love so much! It's the hardest thing ever for a inbetween girl like me to find jeans that actually fit my thighs. And the on top of all that the jeans are CUTE AF! They are on trend! I honestly feel like I won the lottery! I own jeans that look good and make me feel good! I accompanied these jeans with my moms loft belt.
I wanted to take this look to another level by adding some finishing pieces that would give a soft touch to this overall edgy vibe I have going on. I added my H&M loafers that I got in Savannah over spring break and my Black beret from Urban. I think the leisure addition of my slides creates this effortless laid back effect to my essentially bad-girl persona. I am a true sucker for good beret! Funny story: I thought I lost this beret from Urban, so I order another on Amazon. I went to look under my bed for a missing shoe and low and behold my beret decides to show it's self. I felt so stupid, but hey I have two beret's that I can rock anytime! As the cherry-on-top I concluded this look with my ultimate cool-girl shades also from Urban.
Alright Everyone! That is all that have for you today! I forgot to mention that I will be posting on Tuesday and Thursday from now on! Instead of How-to-Tuesday's only on Tuesday I will be posting on Thursday's as well! As always thank you so much for reading! I will see you all Thursday! Until Next time!
