Hey Everyone, I hope you are all well. I wanted to share a pretty big accomplishment with you guys here on one of my favorite platforms! I have mentioned this before, but briefly. I currently attend an all Women's college in my home town of Atlanta, Georgia. I go to Agnes Scott College. I am in my sophomore year and I have been dreaming of the moment where I would get the notorious black ring! I am officially apart of a live long sister hood and I couldn't be more excited for my future! I've been planning for this ceremony little by little every since my first semester. It's so crazy that this moment is finally here! I invited my closest family members to this event! I wanted those that raised me from my very beginnings to see how far I have come! I would like to give a special thanks to my Mother and Father who actually pay for my college tuition and my ring! I love you guys so much and your hard work is paying off! I know that my future is bright and I promise I won't let you guys down! I would also like to thank God for always being there for and keeping me on the right path. He directs my every step and I don't know where I would without his unconditional love, favor, and grace. It's only up from here!

It wouldn't be a proper blog post if I didn't tell you about what I am wearing! Okay, so kind of as a back story. I had planned this outfit like a week and a half in advance. I like to be prepared! But I didn't try this look on until the day of the ceremony and I had no idea what I would wear for shoes! I was honestly a hot mess hours before the ceremony! At first, I thought that an all white look was way too much for this event. I was afraid to stick out of the group. My college is super small and I pride myself in blending in and staying as low key as I possibly can. My mother, my biggest fan and fashion consultant basically threatened my life If I decided to change such a "classy, unique, and urban" look (literally her words! lol) I wanted to wear the exact same style of pants, but in navy because I thought it would make me look dynamic and add dimensions to my outfit, but I obviously lost that battle. I also added mustard blazer as a pop of color and I think it completed my look. O paired this look with my H&M rose gold strapped kitten heels. I am happy that I listened to my mom and didn't change my look! I am who I am and I am destined to stand out! Why should I fight it! Oh before I forget! Everything that I am wearing (blouse and pants) belong to my Mother! I mean, where would I be without her!!?!
Blazer: The loft
Blouse: The loft
Pants: J crew
Shoes: H&M

And yes it was intentional that my mother and I are matching! I didn't see her before I left and I met up with her at the end of the ceremony and to my complete surprise we are wearing the EXACT same thing! In my mother's voice " I just want to be relevant!"

I would also would also Like to mention my grandparents Mattie and Jonny Jackson. Without these two I would not be here and will the love and guidance I have made it this far. I made a promise long ago that I will work my absolute hardest to make these two proud and change they way that they live, so when I come up they will definitely be right by my side. I adore you both and thank you so much for all that you have done for me all of my life.
