For as long as I can remember I have always loved music. From the beat, the lyrics, to the poetry behind the artist words. I feel like music is very important to the human condition. That being said it's equally important to support your favorite artist by seeing them live when they go on tour! I have loved Majid Jordan before they were Majid Jordan. I was down for them when they were Good People. I first heard them on sound cloud randomly. The song that had me hooked was "All I do". I had it on my running playlist when I used to play soccer in high school. As Majid Jordan started to grow, and I as the fan I am, found their first EP titled Good People and then I started listening to their 2nd EP "A place like this" where they were in transition of being Good People to Majid Jordan under the OVO label. Their music really speaks to the soul and holds an element of comfort and ease. I feel inspired to love someone as hard as a possibly can because of their music.
When they dropped their first Album "Majid Jordan" I had it on repeat until I was annoyed with Majid's voice. I think that took about 3 months LOL! When I saw that they were going on their first tour I knew I had to jump on this amazing wave. To experience something great, but I was working at the time when they were coming to Atlanta. I can remember the day they were here and day dreaming about how I would love to be at the concert and not my shitty job.
A year later, I quite my shitty job and see that they are going on tour! I was like I can't miss this chance again! I looked up their tour dates and saw that they were coming in the month of October. I was thinking as a birthday present to myself I would go to their concert! Man, this show was amazing! It was a very fulfilling moment where I could sing my heart out and know that I could still sing every word to their songs a year later. I took my sister and we had a blast! (As a tip: ALWAYS take someone you get along wth really well to a concert. Going with someone you kinda don't like is a waste of your time!) The concert was October 10th and I will never forget it! Majid has such a great voice and Jordan is a very talented musician. If I had the chance to see them again I would in a heart beat!!
Below I would like to show you they outfit that I wore. I never really wear makeup on my blog, but this night I wanted to release my inner vixen in this all black look. I also did my own makeup which I'm kinda proud of because I don'y wear makeup everyday! If you like an artist do yourself a favor and see them live!! I promise you won't regret it! As always thank you so much for reading!! Until next time!
