This weeks How-to I am styling a universally staple item; a Little Black Dress. The style of this dress is very modern with contemporary undertones. I had a blast styling this dress from Jcrew! I like playing around with textures visually, and by that I mean I like looking at the same color range, but in different materials. For example when I style this black cotton dress with my leather jacket from Zara I think that the different fabrics complement each other in a nice way. I really like the minimalist look and this dress embodies the minimalist style that I am after. From the 60s rolled-up sleeves to the classic shirt pocket, I feel that the dress is making more of statement then any accessory that I could have styled with it. I was originally going to style my back to school bags, but I super inspired by this dress alone that I quickly started to make outfits with this dress as the center piece. I think that the looks that I have created are a great summer send off with high anticipation for fall. A pop of color or patten can always bring an outfit into formation by creating dimensions that are pleasing to the eye. My eyes are naturally attracted to things that have more colors and patterns in them and when those patterns are complimented with cool are dark colors like like Black and Navy it's like a calming effect. Its like having something super hot burn your tongue and then immediately cooled by ice. Honestly, That's how my summer has been this year. I am in the mist of this exciting time where I am starting to become the person that I know I am, but still discovering things that I did not know about myself. I hope you enjoy the looks that I have created! As always, thank you so much for reading! Until next time!
